Industrial Strategy Commission: Final Report
The Industrial Strategy Commission's Final Report was published in November 2017.
The report seeks to shape the design of the industrial strategy and steer it towards a policy framework that can ensure future success.
To be successful, the report argues, the new industrial strategy must be an ambitious long-term plan with a positive vision for the UK and it must be rethought as a broad, long-term and non-partisan commitment to strategic management of the economy.
Commissioners include Diane Coyle and Andy Westwood, who were co-directors of Policy@Manchester at the time of this publication.
Alongside the Final Report, you can also read the Executive Summary and the Commission's reflections from their initial evidence hearings, Laying the Foundations, which was released in July 2017.
