School Matters

School Matters is a new Policy@Manchester report bringing together expertise and research from Manchester Institute of Education.

Our academic experts assess how education policy can improve outcomes and attainment, explore how we can support children’s wellbeing, and address the challenges facing schools.

The articles in School Matters provide evidence based recommendations for policymakers on some of the key issues facing educators, children and young people. They emphasise the need for reflective practices, locally co-ordinated efforts and placing children’s wellbeing at the forefront of policy interventions.
